My Grandson

Kenzie occupies my time of day
When he’s busying myself in play
But its fun and full of laughter
As he is also full of banter.

He is not an infant fool
As he is now at school
Where he picks up whit
And also aggressive grit.

He is loving and hugging
And caring and cuddling
And sharing and teasing
As he is mischievous in his appeasing.

Yet regardless, this innocence is appealing
And also revealing, as he is supplicating
My yearning to learning all about him
Despite the quiet, noise and din.
