Explosive Exposure

Battling certain elements, I strive on,
Surviving by using my whit and not the gun,
Manoeuvring within my means and capability
Surpassing expectations of susceptibility.
I was generalising corporal punishment,
A means of harassment to I being innocent,
But often I cut myself with a sharp knife,
Suffering without my common-in-law wife.

I was aghast at my past - sometimes I was free
From having a grave and insane mentality,
And I was to rationally think of she and me,
But my perceptions were miss-directions,
As she can have suspicions of my intentions,
Which can be deciphered with my many mentions.
