I
am a loving Father
To
my nice Daughter,
I
aptly act paternally
Which
has her happy;
I
impart wisdom to she
About
acting sensibly
With
being Christianly
To
whoever she does see.
We’ve
both suffered ill-health,
And
don’t have a lot of wealth,
But
we have each-other to share
With
pleasing, gentle, loving care.
She
means the whole world to me
And
I love her unconditionally.

DeleteLovely. There is no treasure a father can give his child that has more value than his love.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Susan. You are not wrong. I love her so very much, she keeps me sane. I saw her before, and she'd a migraine! Tut. Blessings to you. Love love, Andrew.
DeleteWhat a beautiful poem, Andrew. The last two lines say it all. What a lucky daughter! Many are not as fortunate to have such a loving father. I'm sorry that you both have had health issues, but love is a great comfort. I'll be back to catch up! Sending you a big hug!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Louise. Thank you for your kind, wonderful words, which are warmly received. Glad you liked the piece. I feel for those sons and daughters without a loving Father! Big hugs to you too. Blessings to you. I'll look forward to your next visit. Love love, Andrew.
