I
did not travel far
In
my modest car,
It
started stalling
The
other morning;
Every
time I stop
The
revs sadly flop,
It
took a long age
To
get to the garage.
Two-fifty
Steve said
As
the alternator is dead,
The
part is expensive
Making
me pensive.
He’s
fixing it today
So
I can be on my way.

A sonnet.
Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Hope your car will be alright soon Andrew. You must be lost without it.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thank you Yvonne, for your kind concern. I have been lost, but I've still been visiting family and friends, by walking across town with Sadie! Does us both the world of good. I've had lots to do though, and I've enjoyed writing! Blessings to you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
DeleteYou have my sympathy, Andrew! The inconvenience and cost of car repairs is a pain. I've had two alternators die on me over the years. Ugh! At least you made it safely to the garage! I hope that you and your car are quickly and safely reunited. Take care, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise, for your kind sentiments. It is a pain, and I was unprepared with little savings! Tut. And they charged me an extra fifty on top for VAT! Sorry you've experienced some car trouble in the past! Blessings to you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
