Strong Willed

I’m taking my mother
Out shopping today,
She likes to discover
What is on display.
She likes to spend,
Enjoying a trend
Of being in fashion
With a passion.

She struggles on her feet
But she doesn’t weep,
Her back plays her up
With spasms that suck.
Despite her aging years
She still perseveres.

A sonnet.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

  1. Have a grand day
    Out with your mother,
She loves you faults and all.
    Like any other.

    Enjoy,
    Yvonne.

  2. I loved this, Andrew! It sounds like your mother has a lot of spunk, and she hasn't given up the fight. She reminds me of my mother-in-law who had a wonderful fashion sense until the end of her life at 95. Kudos to you for spending the day taking her around.
