I’m taking my mother
Out shopping today,
She likes to discover
What is on display.
She likes to spend,
Enjoying a trend
Of being in fashion
With a passion.
She struggles on her feet
But she doesn’t weep,
Her back plays her up
With spasms that suck.
Despite her aging years
She still perseveres.

Have a grand day
ReplyDeleteOut with your mother,
She loves you faults and all.
Like any other.
Enjoy,
Yvonne.
Thank you for your kind sentiments. She had a good time - shopping is one of her favorite pastimes! My mother is seventy eight. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
DeleteI loved this, Andrew! It sounds like your mother has a lot of spunk, and she hasn't given up the fight. She reminds me of my mother-in-law who had a wonderful fashion sense until the end of her life at 95. Kudos to you for spending the day taking her around.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. She is strong willed, but her partner having dementia gets her down. But she perseveres despite her aging years. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Delete...with a great son, like you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martin. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
