I’ve
been to see my poorly mother,
I
took my grandkids and daughter,
She
has had a left hip operation
And
is taking plenty of medication
To
take away most of the pain,
In
time it will tame and she’ll gain
A
sprightly step in her walking,
Which
will be pleasantly pleasing.
I
saw my sisters and older brother,
We
were all pleased to see each-other
The
kids were on their best behaviour,
Respecting
their Great Grandmother.
My
mother was sitting up in a chair –
The
caring nurses had put her there.
