Opticians Visit

I am taking my dear Mum
To the town opticians later,
Lately she has been glum
With vision that’s shorter,
My Mum is deemed unwell
So suffering a personal hell
Of arthritis and a bad back,
So I will help her to the shop
Seeing her there safely intact:
My Mother has had a hip-op
Which so still affects her leg,
She is frail on her poor feet
And struggles getting in bed.

  1. I can relate to your mother Andrew, had my eyes tested a few weeks ago and my sight had deterioated somewhat. Hope all goes well with your mother.
