Seasons Greetings

Last night the rain was falling,
It is now frosty this morning,
The bitter-wind blowing
Was chilling – I was shivering.
Winter is coming our way
Seemingly without delay,
As Autumn has had its say
Of rotting life with decay.

I long for Spring again
With new life to gain,
And beautiful flowers
To while away the hours.
Summer is yet so far
With the heat of our star.

A sonnet.

I wrote this poem yesterday morning.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

  1. I echo your words Andrew, here on the South Coast the weather is similar. Although it is forecast a sunny day today but it is still cold.
Do enjoy your day whatever the weather and take care.
    Yvonne.

    1. Thank you Yvonne, for your kind sentiments. It's warmer this morning here in Chester, than it was yesterday! Still chilly though! Enjoy your day too. Blessings. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
