It is raining here tonight,
It has been sunny all day,
The moon is now in sight
And the sun's hiding away,
A storm was in the forecast
With thunder and lightening,
I hope this will soon so pass
As it can be very frightening.
I have got a tan from the heat -
We have had a mini-heatwave,
It will so soon enough deplete
Without more sun that I crave.
It has been so hot lying in bed -
I've been sweating on my head.
