As
I come to terms with you being away
My
unfeigned love does not sway.
You
are all to me
And
forever will be
The
apple of my eye.
I
cried a tear, it seeped down my cheek,
I
wearily rested and fell into sleep –
Please
let me dream,
So
it might just seem
Not
to be true.
The
bright morning sun starts to take rise;
I
stir from my sleep but keep shut my eyes.
I
want to still sleep,
Where
I might keep
My
dreams of you.
I
reach out my arm, you are not there,
Where
you used to be is nothing but air;
I
longingly embrace
This
empty space
That
should hold you.
