Happy New Year

It is New Year’s Eve,
Time to sadly grieve
For another year gone,
But a new one is begun
So raise your cheer
As a new year is here,
Party and have fun
In company of a sum.

I have a new resolution
Of finishing my novel,
It has been a frustration
As I often get insanely ill.
I wish you all all the best
And hope your year is blessed.

Cheer New Year

New Year is nearly here,
I’ll raise my beer and cheer
With my near and dear:
We’ll get jolly and merry
Enjoying good company.
My family are care-free
And will dance away happily
Being hearty with a party.

I hope 2018 is a good one,
With much laughter and fun,
And hope it proves fruitful
With a loving Lady to pull.
2017 was a good year for me
As I wasn’t acting mentally.

A New Year Might Bring Cheer

I hope 2018 proves lucky
For finding a loving Lady,
I have been single and free
For seemingly an eternity:
I would like some company
To stop me feeling lonely;
She’ll be attractively pretty –
A beautiful sugar and honey.

I have etiquette and chivalry
To open her eyes to see me
Being and acting gentlemanly
So as to enhance her serenity.
I hope she’ll have a respectability
Of openly acting Christianly.

Jack Frost Comes At A Cost

It’s been snowing
And also raining,
Making it slushy
And very slippery
While I was walking.
A cold wind blowing
That was freezing –
I was shivering.

My pet dog Sadie
Seemed quite happy,
She had good grip
And didn’t slip.
I didn’t enjoy my roam
And am glad I’m at home.

Sadly Missing Ron

My children’s granddad has passed away,
From smoking he did rot and decay,
He went into hospital and died the next day,
Their distraught grandmother does pray
That he is now in heaven with our Saviour –
Which all of the immediate family favour
As Ron, was peaceful in his behaviour,
And lived a life of being a grafter.

A simple man who lived a simple life,
Placid and hardly causing any strife
To his loving and doting wife –
Who will now be soberly lonely.
He was loved by all of the family
And we will all remember him fondly.

Sadly, Ron, passed away last week. He was in his early eighties. He was the stepdad of my ex, Fiona.

Soberly Being Merry

I’ve been getting merry,
Drinking coke and whisky,
My favourite tipple is brandy
But regrettably it’s costly.
I like the occasional beer
To raise a toast and cheer
That a New Year is nearly here –
With every day getting near.

I like the occasional drink,
But I don’t like getting drunk,
I like to still rationally think
And to have my wits about me.
I socialise with my family
Who also act soberly merry.

All Merrily Happy

I enjoyed my Xmas roast,
My sister Kim, can boast
Of being a generous host.
Eleven through the door
And all were catered for
With gifts and treats galore.
We all complimented her
For her cooking endeavour.

My son, who lives in London,
Was there with his doting mum,
We had a happy time with fun
Sharing some good company.
We were drinking beer and wine
And everybody had a good time.

Love His Love

Hip, hip hooray,
It is Christmas day,
I wish all a merry time
Expressed in my rhyme.
If your life is fruitful
Then be truly thankful;
Enjoy your Xmas roast
With a toast to the host.

I hope you enjoy this morn
That our Lord Jesus was born,
He grew up preaching Wisdom
That He was God’s only Son.
We can flourish believing
With our Lord’s loving.

Christmas Eve Tomorrow

It is nearing Christmas day,
Santa nearly here on his sleigh
Delivering his wares of toys
For good girls and boys.
Lights are flashing bright
Lighting up the dark night,
But Santa knows where he’s going
With Rudolf’s nose glowing.

Carollers will be joyfully singing
Beside the Xmas tree shining,
They’ll be collecting for a charity
With some people giving generously.
It is the season to be jolly
And merry with being happy.

A Flood Of Tearful Admiration

Cheryl is aptly considered the sweetheart of the nation,
And as a resident I agree with this media consensus,
She is a princess more than a royal, as in supplication,
And raises many shared smiles that are unpretentious.

She has a delicacy of trustworthy beauty to savour,
And once tasted I was left with a palatable yearning
To converse her sincerity to all who might favour
Intellectual guidance with a morality worth learning.

She has humble roots which have sprouted to fame,
Which has blossomed and bloomed in modesty
To others of a similar background, who might gain
Imparted wisdom with gentle words of generosity.

Cheryl is an idol to many, and a goddess of fashion,
And struts her curves to my chivalrous applause,
She is an icon worth emulating with seeded passion
To sow, grow and flow with a benevolent cause.

Time For Sharing

I gave you everything I had
And that made you glad,
You reciprocated in kind
By giving me your time;
I loved your loving loving
As you were very giving;
You were always caring –
We made a good pairing.

While you are sleeping,
Are you still keeping
Your dreams of me
Fulfilling your destiny.
We used to passionately kiss,
This was a sense of bliss.

Searching For Pleasing

I’m going into the City,
I’ll enjoy the Xmas tree,
It is going to be busy:
I need to buy presents
For my loving relation’s.
Will I see a sweet-honey
To possibly be with me –
I’ll have to wait and see.

At the moment it’s cloudy,
It looks like it might rain,
I’ll take with me my brolly
So I don’t get wet again.
I’m leaving about nine
And will have a good time.

A Treat Of Mincemeat

Hip, hip, hooray,
I can see the sleigh,
Santa is on his way.

Presents for you and me,
Left by him under the tree,
Children will wake happy.

He is a pleasant site to see
Pleasing almost everybody
With his giving generosity.

Have you left him a treat,
Something for him to eat
As he is tonight on his feet.

Are you grateful and thankful
For presents making you cheerful,
Then be seasonal by being amiable.

Celebrate His Birthday

I’m looking forward to Christmas,
It is a seasonal day of celebration,
Many Christians will attend mass
And share being a congregation:
They can boast with taking the Host,
And sipping the wine can be a toast
To God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost,
Especially those feeling a little lost.

Jesus was born on Christmas day,
He taught Christians how to pray,
Especially with being thankful
When their lives are fruitful.
The New Testament is a blessing
To what Jesus was preaching.

Be Merry With Sherry

It is Christmas time,
The lonely will pine
To be with their family
During the festivities.
Share with them apathy
With a sense of empathy.
I feel for those suffering
With a deep understanding.

It is the season to be jolly,
And to be happily merry,
So open a bottle of sherry
And have yourself a tipple.
I wish you all the very best
And hope you have a feast.

Santa's Saviour

Rudolph the reindeer,
Santa’s little helper,
Has a nose so bright
That it lights up the night,
You may see him in flight
Helping Santa’s plight.
He knows where he’s going
With his nose glowing.

He waits all year long
Before he can join the throng
Of reindeers that belong
To Santa pulling the sleigh.
Christmas Eve is his day
Of rushing so there’s no delay.

Sentimentally Sane

The Elves are busy
Making lots of toys
For Santa’s delivery
To good girls and boys.
Santa will take flight
On Christmas Eve night
Much to children’s delight
But he’ll keep out of sight.

Christmas will soon be here,
I will be with my near and dear,
We’ll be merry and raise cheer
With partying drinking beer.
I wish you all the merry best –
I hope your season will be blessed.

Wisdom To Come

The 25th is our Lord’s birthday,
His humble infant bed was hay,
Three wise men headed his way
With presents for the Baby Son
Believing in His Father’s wisdom.
New Testament times then begun
Are scribed to be read by everyone
Open to the belief not to be a thief.

Jesus can heal if you are suffering,
You can talk to Him by praying,
Listen to what He might be saying
With the parables you are reading.
Christmas is a celebrational time
For accepting the bread and wine.

Seasonal Blessings

Christmas is a week away,
It is our Lord Jesus’ birthday,
Masses will praise Him
While celebrating with kin.
Carollers will joyfully sing
That our Saviour is King.
He was born to save us all
So heed with greed His call.

Father Christmas will deliver,
He is a character to savour,
Just like our Blessed Saviour
Who praised good behaviour.
Many Christians will pray
Throughout this special day.

Pining While Searching

Who will be my honey
Alleviating my being lonely,
I hope she’ll shine bright
Leading me from my plight
Of not having her in my sight.
I am searching while wandering
As I am pining for some loving
With caring, sharing and giving.

My relationships of the past
Regrettably did not last,
Will my next one surpass
With a beautiful Lass.
Which Lady will I meet
While walking the street.

Who Will She Be

I’m pining for a Lady
Treating me respectfully,
I am passionately inclined
To a honey who is refined,
I hope she’ll act Christianly
To share with me a sensibility
Of being meek, and to care
About being a generous pair.

Who is searching for me
Looking for companionship
Within a loving courtship
That offers some positivity.
I like a pretty Lady to impress
By wearing a beautiful-dress.

A Host To Boast

I’m staying with my sister
For the seasonal dinner,
My mum has a large turkey
To share with our family.
Kim is an excellent hostess
With offerings to digest,
Such as a kiss and a hug
Which is blissfully snug.

My sibling is very loving
And pleasingly caring,
She is a great mother
To my two nephews.
I love and appreciate her
And am glad she’s my sister.

Being Graceful Is Beautiful

Kylie is beautiful
And very graceful,
As she is a pleasure
In a viewing measure.
She flaunts her body
As she is a honey;
She has a shapely figure
Which male fans savour.

She has a sweet voice
Singing songs of choice,
Her melodies flow
With tunes that grow.
From early to time for bed
I can’t get her out of my head.

Possibilities Are Positivities

I want a Lady to hold-tight,
And to sweetly kiss goodnight,
And to hug her in the morning
With a love that is loving.
Who will blossom and bloom
Singing a similar tune,
My song is respectfully
A symphony of possibility.

At the moment we are apart –
Yet to make a fresh start.
I long to meet yourself
Hopefully in good health.
My heart will happily sing
At the time of our pairing.

Relenting

The snow is diminishing,
The sun is brightly shining,
There is ice everywhere
So I have to walk with care.
It is bitterly-cold, freezing –
Mr Frost will have you sneezing:
Regardless, children still play
Throughout the chilly day.

Snowmen can still be seen –
Soon to be a ‘has-been’,
It feels Christmassy though
With the glimpses of snow.
My grandchildren had fun
Snowball fighting with mum.

Santa Is Nearly On His Way

Hip, hip, hooray, only a week away,
Santa, is nearly here on his sleigh
With the reindeer leading the way.
He’ll squeeze down your chimney
To leave presents for he and she
Who have been behaving respectfully.
Santa will stock up gifts under the tree
And will go about his business quietly.

Children will awake to happiness
Having been seasonally blessed
With having more and not less.
There will be plenty of playing.
Carollers will be joyfully singing
Christmas songs with praising.

Christmas Shopping

I took my mum shopping,
Her partner who has dementia
Was at Curzon Park Centre,
With the cold wind blowing
You can tell we are in winter.
The shops were welcoming
With their warmth and heat
From wayfaring in the street.

My mother is poor on her feet,
But she perseveres with walking,
We were pleasantly conversing
While Christmas purchasing.
She spoke to my CPN yesterday
To check that she thinks I’m okay.

A Hazy Lady

I hope I meet a Lady
Who’ll be my honey,
I’ll treat her very nice
And always pay the price
Of wining and dining
With loving courting.
I hope she’ll be pleasing
With reciprocal loving.

I was insanely mental,
But now I am gentle;
I’ll offer her my arm
And keep her from harm.
I can jest with being funny
And can shine like it’s sunny.
