A Bad Spell Of Peril

I took my dog to a park,
She had a long, loud bark
Whilst chasing a squirrel
Who escaped her bad peril,
They are fast on their feet
And run at a speedy pace,
Sadie’s speed does deplete
After a time of giving chase.

It has been raining
All of the morning,
The suns not shining
As it is sadly hiding.
Me and Sadie got wet
But we did not fret.

  1. Where I once lived our garden was a haven for squrriels, this brought back many memories. Wonderful verse Andrew.

    1. Greetings Yvonne. I don't like Sadie chasing wildlife, but it's in a dog's nature isn't it! Glad you liked the verse. Blessings to you. Love love, Andrew.
