Too Late For A Date With Fate

 Many prisoners are doing life,

Some have killed a hostile wife,

Lots are difficult and cause strife

Angry at conditions not very nice,

But a mass are serving too long

For the rite of them doing wrong,

Many cause a stink on ouch drink

Which is common in HMP clink.

Lifers so have to be rehabilitated

Which to many is a course hated,

They know what they did wrong

And so need not be in this throng.

They are all paying with the price

Of serving their time so doing life.

Most inmates sentenced to life imprisonment are serving their time for killing their partner, or wife. Many were drunk while committing their crime, or their partner was drunk, and most people don't think straight after a drink, so lots had a momentary lapse of reason, by not thinking straight, and committed a violent act in rage at being victimised during a domestic. And while I know most males serving life are justly so serving this sentence, as they were the aggressor, there are many who were at the brunt end of hostilities by an aggressive partner. One night of madness for many, with a whole life-time of sensibility, is evident that they were not being their rational-selves.

I express this from what I have seen on television documentaries.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew.
