Sadie With Me

I was up at four thirty today,

My pet dog stayed in bed

As it was too early for a play,

She was resting her weary head.

Not soon after I awoke

I had a relaxing long soak,

Then very much awake

I put the rubbish by the gate. 

I went for an early morning walk

With Sadie who likes to stalk,

She was sometimes strolling

But was mostly running.

It is nice to see her run free

Experiencing some serenity.
